Star Wars: Thrawn Manga Vol. 1 Hits US Shelves September 29
Man Tsang's manga adaptation of Timothy Zahn's Thrawn novel arrives in the US and Canada on September 29, following its UK release on June 9.
The first volume of the Star Wars: Thrawn manga, adapted by Man Tsang from Timothy Zahn's 2017 novel, is set for release in the United States and Canada on September 29. The 192-page paperback is published by Panini Publishing, with a UK release already out on June 9.
Zahn's original novel reintroduced Grand Admiral Thrawn to the Star Wars canon, following the character's 1991 debut in Heir to the Empire. The manga depicts Thrawn as an exiled Chiss warrior who pledges loyalty to Emperor Palpatine.
Thrawn has since become a major figure in Star Wars animation and live-action, appearing in Star Wars: Rebels and making his live-action debut in Ahsoka. The new manga offers readers a fresh way to experience his origins.
Polygon reported the release details. The volume is now available for preorder ahead of its September 29 launch.
