Tokyu Revives 1975 Rose of Versailles Christmas Event

Tokyu Department Store has announced a collaboration event with The Rose of Versailles titled “Oscar's Christmas,” to be held at its stores from November 5 to December 25, 2026, according to animeanime.jp. The event revives a Rose of Versailles Christmas collaboration that the company first held 50 years earlier, in 1975.

Special collaboration Christmas cakes are available by reservation through December 16, with pickup on December 24 and 25. Buyers receive one of two original mini colored-paper designs, depending on the store.

Collaboration foods include Andersen's Rose of Versailles Oscar/Marie Antoinette cookie for 324 yen, Melow Witch's pound cake (5 pieces, 2,225 yen), Bern's “Oscar's Christmas” (3 pieces, 1,296 yen), Henri Charpentier's “Shiawase Sable” (3 pieces, 508 yen) and Premier Saint-Germain's “Queen's Red Rose” (378 yen). Each purchase comes with a random original sticker from 8 designs.

Prints, panels and stamps

A pop-up shop for the Rose of Versailles print exhibition runs at the stores from November 12 to December 25, selling prints from 35,200 yen and the art book “The World of The Rose of Versailles” for 5,940 yen. Life-size panels of Oscar, Andre, Fersen and Marie Antoinette appear from November 26 to December 25, and collecting four stamps across the stores earns an original clear file.

A quiz answering three questions diagnoses which of four Rose of Versailles characters the participant resembles and recommends a matching Christmas cake. Decorative designs from the 1975 collaboration are also introduced in the 2026 event.
