Toyota taps voice actors Hiro Shimono and Akari Kito for winter date video
The special video, set in a shoujo-manga-style winter date, will be posted on Toyota's social media accounts on November 4, 2026.
Toyota will release a special video starring voice actors Hiro Shimono and Akari Kito on its Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube accounts on November 4, 2026, the company announced. According to animeanime.jp, the release date coincides with "Iioshi no Hi," a day on the calendar read as a celebration of favorite characters and stars.
The video is a shoujo-manga-style winter date story built around the two actors, who voice the leading couple. In the story, the character played by Shimono warms the car ahead of the date by operating the air conditioning remotely from a smartphone.
Toyota's remote air conditioning feature is the focus of that scene, which shows the car being heated before the couple set off.
The video will appear across Toyota's five social media channels rather than on a dedicated streaming platform, and the company has not announced any other distribution plans.
