007 First Light Gets Free Extended Operations Update

IO Interactive's free Extended Operations update for 007 First Light adds Valhalla Protocol, photo mode, New Game+, new weapons, outfits, and 00 difficulty on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.

IO Interactive has released the free Extended Operations update for 007 First Light on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. The update adds a new time-trial mode, photo mode, New Game+, additional weapons and outfits, and a harder difficulty setting.

The headline addition is the Valhalla Protocol, a time-trial race set in Slovakia featuring the Aston Martin Valhalla across four track versions. Players can also take on the Jungle Heist mission, in which Bond infiltrates a jungle villa to retrieve codes and contents from a secret safe.

Two new weapons join the arsenal: the Squire Marksman rifle and the Storm 12 shotgun. New outfits include the Leisure Beam outfit, the First Class tuxedo, and the Observant Spy ensemble. New Game+ allows players to replay the campaign with unlocked outfits, while the 00 difficulty mode limits resources and makes enemies deadlier.

007 First Light originally launched in May. In August 2026, the game reached 4 million units sold across PC and consoles, excluding Switch 2. Amazon Game Studios boss Jeff Gattis recently suggested a sequel is a matter of when, not if. The Switch 2 edition has been delayed several times and is now expected in March 2027.

GameSpot reported the update details.
