Ace Combat Zero Steam Port Goes Standalone With Achievements
Bandai Namco Entertainment now offers the Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War Steam port as its own app, with Steam achievements and Cloud saves.
Bandai Namco Entertainment began distributing the Steam port of Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War as a standalone application on October 22, 2026, according to gamespark.jp. The separate app supports Steam achievements.
Players who pre-ordered can now launch the port without downloading Ace Combat 8. Previously, the port had to be started from Ace Combat 8's start screen on Steam, and it was first delivered as a DLC executable that could not be launched on its own, which drew complaints from users.
The standalone app requires about 3.2GB of storage, down from about 140GB, and save data can be shared through Steam Cloud.
Bandai Namco Entertainment said the port is not planned for standalone sale because of fighter aircraft licensing. The port was originally offered as a pre-order bonus for Ace Combat 8 and is no longer obtainable.
On October 13, 2026, the company said it expected to distribute the port as a standalone app and was carrying out final quality and operation checks.
