Embody bans cheaters permanently in Arc Raiders, builds in-house AI detection

Embody says it is training AI models to catch cheaters in Arc Raiders and has made permanent bans the standard penalty, with no warnings.

Embody, the publisher of Arc Raiders, has announced it is training in-house AI models to detect cheating in the game and has tightened its enforcement rules. According to Tom's Hardware, the company said it uses kernel-level anti-cheat from Denuvo alongside detections from Anybrain.

A permanent ban is now the standard sanction for anyone caught cheating in Arc Raiders, with no warnings or second chances, Embody said.

The publisher also now associates copies of Arc Raiders with accounts accused of cheating, so cheaters cannot use the same game license to make a new account. Other accounts linked to a banned copy of the game will receive the same permanent ban.

Embody is working on a hardware ban intended to reduce repeat offenders and aims to implement it later this year.
