ArcheAge War update reworks Ancient Forest, adds Vaadran weapon

Kakao Games' October 21 patch raises altar capture time to 8 seconds and adds the Primordial-grade Vaadran, evolved from an Ayanad weapon.

Kakao Games released an update for the MMORPG ArcheAge War on October 21, 2026, reworking the Ancient Forest dungeon and adding a new top-tier weapon, according to inven.co.kr.

Altar capture in Ancient Forest now takes 8 seconds instead of 3, and captured altars hold for 6 hours rather than 3. Altars also spawn randomly among three candidate locations instead of at fixed spots. The dungeon now runs on alternating weeks with the Four Seasons' Illusion dungeon.

Vaadran is a new Primordial-grade weapon ranked above existing Ayanad weapons. Players obtain it by evolving a same-type Ayanad weapon at the Anvil of Evolution.

In the open world, monster levels and kill rewards in hunting zones were adjusted, new monsters were added, and a Chaos region was expanded with an area containing many monsters.

Boss and content changes

Gert of Ferocious Despair moved from Eternal Abyss to Abyss of Demons, with the same change applied to Gert of Despair on the Gdelon server. Garon of the Swift Wings in Loka's Chess Pieces had its health and skill damage reduced, and the Groat Summon Scroll Fragments needed to craft Ferocious Garon fell from 200 to 50.

Server events run until November 4, 2026, and a login attendance event runs until November 18, 2026.
