Ubisoft sets November 5 New Game+ update for Assassin's Creed Valhalla

Ubisoft will release a New Game+ update for Assassin's Creed Valhalla on November 5, according to gamespark.jp. The publisher also confirmed a final major update for Assassin's Creed Black Flag Re:Synchronized as part of the same announcement.

The Valhalla update adds an optional mode that reflects gear, runes and mastery in Eivor's overall combat power. It also brings new runes, achievements, a storage system and rewards, including a Master Assassin outfit themed on Naoe from Assassin's Creed Shadows. A new material, Mithril, is introduced for upgrading gear and runes of the quality "Heaven", and that quality is added to all gear.

The final major update for Black Flag Re:Synchronized adds New Game+, a Nightmare mode, new rewards, finishers, trinkets and new customization features. Among the rewards are Blackbeard's iconic outfit and Edward's London outfit, alongside new customization for the Jackdaw and crew.

Ubisoft said no remake of an Assassin's Creed title is currently in development. Code Name INVICTUS held its first closed insider session a few months ago, with hundreds of players trying a prototype, while Code Name HEXE is progressing steadily but needs more time, with new information expected in 2027.

The Netflix live-action Assassin's Creed series is nearing completion of production in Rome, Italy, and composer Hannah Peel has joined the project to handle its music. Valhalla has surpassed 40 million players, and Black Flag Re:Synchronized was released on July 9, 2026. Ubisoft plans announcements, updates, rewards and community events throughout 2027, when the series marks its 20th anniversary.
