Avalanche to Publish Supermassive Games Titles Under Nordisk Deal

Nordisk Games announced a publishing agreement between its subsidiaries Avalanche Studios Group and Supermassive Games, under which Avalanche will globally publish, market and distribute Supermassive Games titles, according to gamesindustry.biz.
The arrangement begins with Directive 8020, which launched earlier this year.
Both studios will share operational support across finance, people and IT. They will remain fully creatively independent and retain ownership of their individual portfolio and development plans.
Earlier Nordisk investments
Nordisk Games acquired a 30% stake in Supermassive Games in 2021, when the studio became the ninth games company to join its portfolio and its first in the UK. In 2017, Nordisk became a minority shareholder in Avalanche Studios with an investment of over $10 million, and in 2018 it acquired Avalanche Studios outright, its largest acquisition at the time.
Supermassive Games has an 18-year legacy of creating immersive horror experiences. Hunter: Call of the Wild, an Avalanche title, has two million monthly players nine years after launch.
