Baldur's Gate 3 mod Forsaken launches first act on Nexus Mods
The World of Warcraft-inspired custom campaign from modder SquallyDaBeanz opens with over 20 quests designed for levels 1-5.
The first act of Forsaken, a custom campaign for Baldur's Gate 3 set in the World of Warcraft universe, has been released on Nexus Mods. The mod is the work of creator SquallyDaBeanz, according to Rock Paper Shotgun.
Forsaken casts players as one of the undead freed from the Lich King, fighting to reclaim the kingdom of Lordaeron. The campaign is designed for levels 1-5 and draws its setting from the Tirisfal Glades region of World of Warcraft.
The opening act contains more than 20 quests spread across towns, settlements and dungeons. Parties can bring up to three companions: a fighter named Darnell, a mage named Isabella and a cleric named Duesten, all found at Deathknell Chapel.
Those companions are currently a temporary implementation, with a full overhaul planned for a later update. SquallyDaBeanz also intends to add more quests, class dialogue, skill checks, items, lore books, plus idle animations and cutscenes for some NPCs in the opening act.
How to install
Players need to install the mod's main file and enable it through Baldur's Gate 3's in-game mod manager before starting a new game. In September, the same modder released the Act Two Expansion for Baldur's Gate 3, which added a new region to explore before the final chapter.
