Fan-made Baldur's Gate 3 mod Forsaken releases Act 1 free on PC
The campaign from modder SquallyDaBeanz is built around World of Warcraft Classic's Undead starting zone and offers more than 20 quests.
The fan-made Baldur's Gate 3 mod campaign Forsaken has been released for free download on Nexus Mods for PC, according to Screen Rant. The release is an expanded version of an earlier teaser for the project.
Forsaken is created by modder SquallyDaBeanz and draws on Tirisfal Glades, the Undead starting zone from World of Warcraft Classic. The released version, Act 1, includes more than 20 quests, over 30 combat encounters and 60 handcrafted NPCs and traders.
Players can recruit three companions at Deathknell Chapel: Darnell, a Fighter; Isabella, a Sorcerer; and Duesten, a Cleric. The campaign is designed for characters between levels 1 and 5 and is balanced for experienced players.
The mod is exclusive to PC. The creator confirmed that a console release is not possible, and multiplayer is supported if all players have the same files installed.
Act 2 of the mod is in development, with no release window announced. Larian Studios has moved on from Baldur's Gate 3 to work on a new Divinity game, with the Baldur's Gate franchise now in the hands of Wizards of the Coast. Baldur's Gate 3 was released on August 3, 2023, and an early teaser for Forsaken first appeared in 2025.
