Barotrauma Home & Harbor DLC launches December 2

Daedalic Entertainment also confirmed a free companion update for the base game on November 26, required for the DLC to work.

Daedalic Entertainment has announced that the Barotrauma DLC Home & Harbor will launch on December 2, according to gamespark.jp. A free companion update for the base game will arrive earlier, on November 26.

The Home & Harbor DLC lets players own a deep-sea outpost base that provides resources and new technology. Bases can be obtained by capturing locations or through missions, and because they can be attacked, they have to be defended.

The expansion also introduces a new faction called Descendants. Daedalic Entertainment said Home & Harbor was developed over about two years.

The November 26 companion update is required for the DLC to work with the main game. It adds a new plugin system intended to make mod creation easier, along with content including dismemberment and prosthetics, advanced gardening and decoration, a livelier world and a new transport submarine, plus fixes for long-standing errors.

The game recently had its Japanese list price lowered, and at that time a follow-up on the DLC was said to be coming soon.
