Battleplan, a WW2 RTS where you draw orders on a map, launches on Steam
Foolish Mortals Games' Battleplan arrives with 11 historical Western Front missions and a customisable chain of command.
Battleplan, a World War 2 real-time strategy game from developer Foolish Mortals Games, launched on Steam today.
Orders in Battleplan are issued by drawing on a pseudo-paper map built from geographical survey data. Units are not controlled directly, so command runs through the map rather than through unit selection.
The launch version includes a single-player campaign of 11 historical missions set on the Western Front, spanning from the D-Day landings to Operation Varsity, plus two tutorial levels.
Divisions are modelled down to headquarters, regiments, battalions and companies, and the chain of command can be customised.
Foolish Mortals Games previously co-created Kaiju Wars. The studio has said it plans to expand Battleplan after launch with new system updates, gameplay improvements and additional theatres of war.
