Beast of Reincarnation patch v1.1.02 ends rapid update run

Game Freak released patch v1.1.02 for Beast of Reincarnation on October 26, with the PlayStation 5 version numbered v1.013.000. The studio's patch notes and official X account described the update as a pause point in the game's high-frequency update schedule, while feedback through the support desk continues to be accepted.

Players can now change Emma's costume from the bed menu on the purification ship and at campsites. Pattern variations for the costumes have been placed in each region. NEW GAME+ now carries over equipment, costumes and skins from the start of a new run.

Combat was reworked as well: bosses received new attack moves and adjusted behaviour patterns, and overall balance for normal enemies and bosses was re-tuned. Guard input was changed to a hold trigger.

The patch also adds a "growth promotion" feature to cultivation plants and a "resonance acceleration" option to key configuration. Progression-blocking bugs in chapters 3, 10 and 11 were fixed.

Updates since launch

Beast of Reincarnation launched on August 4 and has received updates roughly every one to two weeks since, according to gamespark.jp. Earlier patches added skipping for almost all event movies, a high-difficulty "merciless" mode with one-hit death and automatic item collection, and a route to skip three mid-game areas. The v1.1.02 patch was originally planned for around October 20 but was delayed to October 26. The game's Steam user reviews have remained "mixed" since launch.
