Behaviour Interactive, PHI Studio and Alcon Entertainment have announced Blade Runner: The Immersive Experience, a multisensory immersive project coming to North America in 2027. The Quebec-based production blends dystopian environments with storytelling, according to Screen Rant.
The attraction is a co-production between Behaviour Interactive and PHI Studio in collaboration with Alcon Entertainment. It combines Behaviour Interactive's video game expertise with PHI Studio's immersive scenic design.
The project draws on the Blade Runner franchise, which began with Ridley Scott's 1982 adaptation of Philip K. Dick's Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? A sequel, Blade Runner 2049, was released in cinemas in 2017.
A television miniseries, Blade Runner 2099, is expected to continue the franchise. The immersive experience marks another expansion of the sci-fi property into a new format.
