Bulkhead CEO claims EA Dice and Respawn are making Star Wars Battlefront 3

Joe Brammer said on social media that the two studios are developing the game, without saying where the claim comes from; neither EA nor Lucasfilm has confirmed it.

Joe Brammer, CEO of Bulkhead Games, said in a social media post that EA Dice and Respawn Entertainment are developing Star Wars Battlefront 3, according to PCGamesN. Brammer gave no source for the claim, and neither EA nor Lucasfilm has confirmed that a new Star Wars Battlefront game is in the works.

Brammer also said he was unsure what a new Battlefront would mean for Battlefield. He did not expand on the remark or explain how he learned of the project.

Earlier reports pointed elsewhere

In a prior report carried by GiantBomb's Jeff Grubb, a rumor from an upcoming issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly cited a tipster named Quarterman saying Lucasfilm had been looking for a developer for a new Battlefront game. That report said Bungie could be handed the project if EA Dice was not chosen, and that the game did not appear to be in active development at the time.

EA's exclusive Star Wars licensing deal ended in 2023, which opened the franchise to other publishers and studios.

EA Dice and Respawn Entertainment have not commented on Brammer's post, and Lucasfilm has not announced a new Battlefront title.
