Bulkhead Weighs Moving Wardogs Season 3 Forward

The studio rules out a knee-jerk reset this weekend and plans limited servers for the mid-season 2.5 update.

Bulkhead has said it is looking at significantly bringing forward Wardogs Season 3 and some of its content, so that players get what it calls a proper fresh start. The studio also ruled out a knee-jerk reset of the game this weekend, according to pcgamesn.com.

The developer said it is monitoring parts of the game for potential changes. Clearly unbalanced elements will be fixed, while issues that have split the community will be allowed to play out first.

Bulkhead acknowledged that it sped up progression and rebalanced the game in Season 2, and described that as the wrong call.

CEO Joe Brammer said limited or primitive servers with a pending name are planned for the mid-season 2.5 update. Those servers would cap weapons, equipment and vehicles to the lower ends of the progression tree.

Season 2 has just begun. Bulkhead designed it as a fresh start and deliberately accelerated progression, but players have been reaching end-game gear such as tier-four armour and MBTs within days. The season also awarded XP and cash bonuses to Blue Team players, which the team counts among its bigger mistakes. The season was designed to lean a little more toward players with less time.
