Capcom producer open to Onimusha 3 and Dawn of Dreams remasters

Akihito Kadowaki said remasters of the two PlayStation 2-era titles would be great, but Capcom has not announced any release.

Capcom producer Akihito Kadowaki said he feels it would be great to release remasters of Onimusha 3 and Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams, according to pcgamer.com. No remaster of either game has been confirmed.

Kadowaki, who serves as series producer, made the remark at the end of an interview focused on Onimusha: Way of the Sword, the series' first new entry in decades. He pointed to the reaction and excitement around the series.

Onimusha 3 arrived on PlayStation 2 in 2004 and co-starred French actor Jean Reno. Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams followed in 2006.

Capcom has already returned to its back catalogue with remasters of games that were never on PC, including Dead Rising, Onimusha and Onimusha 2. Earlier this year, the company said in a report that it now makes the majority of its money on PC and expects that ratio to keep increasing.
