CODE EXIT Demo 2.0 Hits Steam With Tutorial and Controls Update
Phase 8 Studio and LINE Games add a tutorial stage, refined UI and customizable keyboard controls to the co-op horror game's demo on Steam.
Phase 8 Studio and LINE Games released Demo 2.0 for their sci-fi co-op survival horror game CODE EXIT on Steam on October 25, 2026. The update builds on feedback from the game's earlier play sessions, according to Bloody Disgusting.
Demo 2.0 adds a tutorial stage, a refined user interface and customizable keyboard controls. The build also includes multiplayer optimizations, alongside the additions made to the game's robot and audio systems.
Two new mechanics arrive in the demo. A MiRO robot feature lets fallen teammates keep supporting their allies, while an offline S.O.M.A system activates in response to nearby noise and player actions.
CODE EXIT is designed for one to four players and is set in the location Pantheon, with players taking on the role of operatives called Hermes against an antagonist AI named Minerva.
The game had a three-week global playtest before Demo 2.0, and its feedback shaped the update. CODE EXIT is planned to launch on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store in 2027.
