Control Resonant Sells 1 Million in Three Weeks, Remedy's Fastest
Remedy Entertainment says Control Resonant passed one million copies sold in three weeks, the fastest start in its 31-year history.
Remedy Entertainment announced on October 15, 2026 that Control Resonant has sold more than one million copies, reaching the milestone within three weeks of release. The studio said it is the fastest-selling game in its 31-year history.
CEO Jean-Charles Gaudechon called the million-copies figure "a very strong start". The result marks Remedy's first self-published release of this scale, according to pcgamer.com.
Control Resonant is a follow-up to Control, the studio's 2019 action game. Remedy is scheduled to report its Q3 business results on November 3.
How it compares to Alan Wake 2
Alan Wake 2, released in 2023, took two months to reach one million copies and was Remedy's fastest-selling title at the time, outpacing the original Control. It went on to win awards for narrative and art direction in 2023, though it took more than a year and two million copies sold before it started making money for Remedy.
Gaudechon took over as CEO in February 2026. Remedy chairman Henri Österlund said at the time that the appointment was intended "to lead Remedy into a phase of profitable growth".
