Devsisters unveils CookieRun: OvenBreak 10th anniversary update

The update adds My Cookie customization, the Sweet Archive World title event and a new action mode, alongside a Vision 2030 plan.

Devsisters announced the 10th anniversary update for CookieRun: OvenBreak and a long-term operation strategy, Vision 2030, at a media roundtable held at Palgakdang in Seoul Children's Grand Park on October 24, according to game.donga.com.

The anniversary update introduces My Cookie customization content, the title event Sweet Archive World and a new action mode. Sweet Archive World is built around platform-game progression and discovering hidden content, while the action mode has players fight monsters using left-right movement and jumping.

A 10th anniversary recap event shows different results depending on each player's activity records over the past 10 years. In the TaeTalchul mode, a special section summarizing past episodes is added as a run from the beginning. Anniversary special skins and various rewards will also be provided, and Jumping and Max Boost events are prepared to help new and returning players grow quickly.

Vision 2030 targets a mini-game platform

Under Vision 2030, Devsisters plans to expand into a mini-game platform and broaden user-created content centered on the Map Maker. The team also aims to let users run official esports-style tournaments inside the game.

According to the company, CookieRun: OvenBreak has recorded about 54 million cumulative users, and cumulative service revenue exceeded 415.6 billion won as of October 2026. The highest monthly user count was 4.69 million.

Communities have formed in Taiwan, Thailand, the US and Japan, and players from 8 regions in total have taken part in the World Championship since it began last year. Over the past 10 years the developers introduced more than 100 new content types and about 8,200 maps, and about 100,000 user-created maps have been registered in the Map Maker introduced last year.
