Crimson Desert 'Unknown Journey' DLC launches with ver.2.04.00 update
Pearl Abyss released the sea-focused expansion and its patch on October 30, 2026, adding ship building, diving and NPC marriage.
Pearl Abyss released the Crimson Desert DLC 'Unknown Journey' on October 30, 2026, alongside the ver.2.04.00 update for the game, according to gamespark.jp.
The expansion moves the setting beyond the land of Pywel to the sea. Players can build and customize sailing ships and explore islands, and a diving system with a breathing gauge lets them search for underwater treasures, ruins and secrets.
At bases, players can marry NPCs and run businesses including restaurants, sawmills, smithies and tailors. The housing system has been expanded so players can design a house's structure, walls and windows, and can decorate two castles. The three playable characters, Cliff, Unka and Damian, can build relationships with residents that lead to romance and marriage.
The DLC also adds the combat content 'Garden of Trials', made up of 10 groups, and a new dice mini-game.
The expansion had originally been scheduled for October 15 but was pushed back to October 30 for higher completion and a stable play experience.
