Attack on Titan 3 to Cover Entire Anime Storyline, Producer Says
Koei Tecmo producer Hideo Suzuki says the game adapts Seasons 1 to 4, marking the first time the final season appears in a game.
Koei Tecmo producer Hideo Suzuki has detailed Attack on Titan 3, confirming that the game covers the entire Attack on Titan storyline, from Seasons 1 to 4, according to crunchyroll.com. It is the first time the final season has been included in a game adaptation of the series.
Suzuki said the long gap since the previous game came partly because the concept took time to settle and because covering the whole anime is a lengthy undertaking. Attack on Titan 2 was released in 2019 and covered Seasons 1 and 2, with Season 3 added through its Final Battle DLC expansion. The first Attack on Titan game, released in 2016, covered Season 1.
The new game includes iconic final-season scenes such as Eren crying to Armin in the Paths and the Mikasa cabin scene, adjusted to match the game's pacing.
New opening and combat changes
Attack on Titan 3 features a new opening animation produced by MAPPA and directed by Arifumi Imai. The game keeps the original customizable player character and adds changes aimed at satisfying advanced action-game players.
Attack on Titan 3 is set for release later this year on PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
