Dark Messiah Community Edition Gets Steam Page Ahead of 2026 Launch
The free community-made edition adds co-op, New Game+, Adventure mode, Steam Workshop support and restored console content, with Ubisoft backing the project.
A Steam page has opened for Dark Messiah of Might & Magic: Community Edition, a free community-made version of the original game that is due to launch on Steam in 2026. The listing was reported by PC Gamer.
The Community Edition adds co-op, New Game+, an Adventure mode with bonus levels and challenges, randomly generated levels and Steam Workshop support. It also brings Linux and 64-bit support, restored content, console-exclusive maps and modes, and new spells, weapons and abilities, including sliding.
WiltOS Technologies ported Dark Messiah to the latest Source engine and integrated existing mods and fan requests into the build. Ubisoft supported the project directly and invited the developers to Ubisoft Montreal to help get the console-exclusive features working on PC.
The developers say they plan to keep developing new modes and features after launch and to invite the community to develop the game alongside them.
