King Art's Jan Theysen says the four-campaign structure for Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 4 was decided early in development, ahead of the December 3 PC launch.
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 4 will ship with four separate faction campaigns, one each for the Space Marines, Orks, Necrons and Adeptus Mechanicus, according to TechRadar. The game is set to launch on PC on December 3.
Creative director Jan Theysen, a co-founder of developer King Art, said the decision to build four faction campaigns was made very early in development. The campaigns include branching storylines, mutually exclusive missions and hero selection.
Across the four campaigns, the game contains roughly 70 missions. King Art consulted with Warhammer rights holder Games Workshop on the four faction campaign ideas and on the setting's lore.
Dawn of War 4 is the next entry in the real-time strategy series based on the Warhammer 40,000 tabletop universe, and its December 3 release is set for PC.
