MinaLima, the graphic design studio that shaped the visual style of the Harry Potter films, has announced a new board game called Defenders of Hogwarts. The game is set to release in October 2026, according to Screen Rant.
Defenders of Hogwarts is designed for two to five players, with sessions running roughly 90 to 180 minutes. Players take on roles aligned either with the four Hogwarts Houses or with the Dark Forces.
The box includes over 200 components, among them more than 100 illustrated cards. Its Kickstarter description says Lord Voldemort's arrival at Hogwarts is imminent, and that players must develop spell-casting abilities and explore the school grounds.
Part of a wider Harry Potter games push
The announcement follows earlier activity in the franchise's video game space. Hogwarts Legacy was released on February 10, 2023, developed by Avalanche Software and published by Warner Bros. Interactive. A sequel, Hogwarts Legacy 2, has been officially confirmed.
