Dokapon Kingdom Connect 2 Announced for PC, Switch 2 and Switch
Compile Heart says the new series entry, developed by Sting, is set for a simultaneous worldwide release in summer 2027.
Compile Heart has announced Dokapon Kingdom Connect 2 for PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch, with a simultaneous worldwide release planned for summer 2027. The company unveiled the title at gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show, held in Bangkok from October 29 to November 1, according to gamespark.jp.
Sting is developing the game as a completely new entry in the series. A Steam store page is already open and accepting wishlist registrations.
The board-game-style structure returns: players roll a roulette and move that many spaces, with effects depending on where they land. Monster battles take place on plain terrain spaces, and winning earns experience points, with players choosing which stat to grow when they level up. Money comes from defeating monsters or from saving villages and receiving tribute, while players can also attack each other to steal money and valuables or rob shops for items.
The game supports 1 to 4 players, or 2 to 4 players in online play. A new Grand Co-op Battle brings all players together to fight Gigamonsters attacking Dokapon Castle, and they decide whether to share or keep the rewards from the defeat.
Character creation is introduced for the first time in the series, letting players pick hairstyles and adjust eye and mouth settings, with registered characters available for reuse. Dokapon Kingdom Connect 2 is exhibited at the Bangkok event alongside the previous title, Dokapon Kingdom Connect.
