Dungeon Crawler Carl TTRPG Gets Audio Rulebook in 2027

Soundbooth Theater announced on October 30, 2026 that it is developing a full audio edition of the Dungeon Crawler Carl tabletop roleplaying game rulebook, according to screenrant.com. Jeff Hays, who narrates the novels, will be the primary narrator, covering the entire 350-plus-page core rulebook. Renegade Game Studios lists summer 2027 as the anticipated release window for the audio rulebook and an official Dungeon Crawler Carl soundboard.

The audio rulebook will be accessible through the Soundbooth app, which already hosts the Dungeon Crawler Carl Audio Immersion Tunnel. The soundboard will draw on sound effects and ambient music from the Audio Immersion Tunnel and include character voice clips and announcements such as the Dungeon AI's "NEW ACHIEVEMENT!".

Soundbooth is also producing an audio adaptation of Archie, a 54-page short story by Ben Wolf included with the Crawler Chaos expansion for Dungeon Crawler Carl: Unstoppable, with Hays narrating. That adaptation is exclusive to original campaign backers, and the Archie recording was originally targeted for fall 2026.

All three bonuses are free for eligible backers, with redemption keys distributed through the BackerKit pledge manager. Soundbooth previously said production would follow its work on the third season of the Audio Immersion Tunnel.

Renegade Game Studios' Dungeon Crawler Carl TTRPG and Unstoppable deck-building game had an enormously successful crowdfunding campaign. Author Matt Dinniman's Book 9 two-volume finale is currently titled The Beautiful Place, and a live-action television series adaptation of Dungeon Crawler Carl is in the works.
