Easy Fox says AI costs hit $1,000 a day as demo surges

The four-person team behind the driving-teaching demo says it took out a bank loan to cover AI usage of about $1,000 per day.

Easy Fox published a Steam notice on the 7th covering the 1.2.9 update and the current development status of its driving-teaching game 여동생 운전 가르치기, according to gamemeca.com. In the notice, the developer described financial strain caused by a sharp rise in AI usage costs.

The studio said demo users increased more than 20-fold within a month, which pushed its spending on AI to about $1,000 per day. To keep the demo running, Easy Fox said it took out a bank loan.

Easy Fox said the four-person team may end the demo earlier than planned before the full release because of the financial burden. The studio added that no early shutdown has been decided yet.

The demo previously gained popularity through streamers playing it.
