Enshrouded Launches 1.0 and PS5 Version on October 15
Keen Games is ending Enshrouded's Early Access with a full release that adds new enemies, biomes and a PS5 edition on October 15.
Enshrouded will leave Early Access on October 15, when Keen Games releases the game's 1.0 version alongside a PS5 edition, according to Kotaku. The full release is scheduled to arrive on PC and PlayStation 5 at the same time.
The 1.0 launch is set to resolve some of the story questions left open during Early Access, including the origins of the Shroud and the fall of Embervale. Keen Games says the update also adds new enemies, new biomes and a range of gameplay improvements.
Multiplayer limits differ by platform. Up to 16 players can share a world at once on PC, while the PS5 version supports up to eight players in a shared world.
Post-launch plans
Keen Games has said a post-launch roadmap is planned for Enshrouded, though the studio has not detailed what it will contain.
During Early Access, the game added dynamic water, a technical achievement for a voxel-based title. More than five million users played Enshrouded while it was in Early Access, and it holds an 87% positive rating on Steam.
