Evercade Nexus retro handheld launches October 30 at $199.99

The cartridge-based handheld ships with ground-up ports of Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie and is sold through Amazon.

Blaze's Evercade Nexus, a retro handheld that runs physical Evercade cartridges, launches on October 30, 2026 at $199.99 and is sold at Amazon, according to gamesradar.com.

The Nexus adds a dual thumbstick setup to the Evercade line, a change from the single-stick layout of earlier portable entries. It ships with Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie, which Blaze describes as ground-up ports built for the handheld rather than emulated versions.

The hardware is built around offline play: the cartridge library runs without an internet connection. The screen is an LCD panel rather than AMOLED, and the thumbsticks are not hall-effect.

An established cartridge line

Blaze previously released the original portable Evercade, the Super Pocket and the Evercade Alpha arcade cabinet. In October 2025 the Evercade platform's library stood at more than 700 games on physical cartridges.
