Farming Through The End Brings Zombie Survival to Steam Early Access

Resilient Roots Games' title mixes crop growing and livestock with traps and fortified defenses ahead of nightly zombie attacks.

Resilient Roots Games has revealed Farming Through The End, a zombie survival game heading to Steam in Early Access, as reported by screenrant.com. The store page is live and the game can already be wishlisted.

The setup mixes farm management with survival defense. Players grow crops and raise livestock on their own land, then prepare for zombies that can attack the farm, setting traps and fortifying structures before nightfall.

Materials come from beyond the farm. Players drive a pickup truck to scavenge abandoned towns, forests and junkyards for supplies and equipment, and they can trade crops with other survivor groups in exchange for weapons, equipment and building materials.

The game supports playing alone or with a small group of other survivors. No demo is currently available.

Older roots in the genre

The zombie survival premise follows a format with a long broadcast history: The Walking Dead television series launched on AMC on October 31, 2010, after beginning as a comic book series created by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore and Charlie Adlard.
