Final Fantasy XIV 'Evercold' Early Access Starts February 19

Square Enix also revealed the ranged DPS job Zephyr at the Tokyo Fan Festival 2026, alongside new areas and dungeons.

Square Enix will launch the 'Evercold' expansion for Final Fantasy XIV in early access on February 19, with the official launch set for February 23, the company announced at the Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival 2026 in Tokyo. Pre-orders open on November 4, according to Anime News Network.

The Tokyo event also introduced Zephyr, a new ranged DPS job. Square Enix showed new areas including 'Sessrymnir, Realmship of Earth' and 'Skiðblaðnir, Realmship of Wind', and revealed new dungeons.

A new video for 'Ghosts of Desire', the Neon Genesis Evangelion collaboration, was screened with guest creator Mahiro Maeda.

The company also said the game's registered accounts have reached 35 million worldwide. Director and producer Naoki Yoshida had previously said in April, at the Anaheim Fan Festival, that 'Evercold' begins the 'Godless Realms' saga in the Fourth reflection. The expansion adds two jobs, Bastion and Zephyr, and includes the eight-player raid series 'Beyond the Lifestream: Fated Collision' with a new 'Fierce' difficulty level.
