Nine AI-looking Fire Emblem guides appear on Amazon
No official single-volume guide has been released; the nine unofficial books show no disclosure of generative AI use, according to Automaton Media.
Nine unofficial strategy guides for the latest Fire Emblem game are listed on Amazon, seven of which can be purchased, according to Automaton Media. The covers appear to be AI-generated rather than official illustrations, and the guides seem to exist only in print.
Titles include phrases such as complete walkthrough, hidden elements and thorough explanation. Reviews are visible for four of the guides, only one shows an Amazon purchase badge, and all are one-star. Sample pages contain no images and consist of long, continuous text.
Amazon does not prohibit publishing books made with generative AI, but Kindle Direct Publishing guidelines require disclosure of generative AI use. No such disclosure was found for these nine books. KDP prints paper books on demand at Amazon's factory when ordered, with printing costs deducted from sales, so there is no inventory risk.
