FromSoftware suspends Dark Souls 2 and 3 servers on all platforms

FromSoftware said a malfunction was found in the game servers and no restoration date has been set yet.

FromSoftware announced on October 30 that game servers for DARK SOULS Ⅱ and DARK SOULS Ⅲ are suspended on all platforms, according to automaton-media.com. The company said the suspension follows a malfunction found in the game servers.

The outage covers every platform the two titles run on, not only PC. FromSoftware has not given a restoration date and said it will announce one once it becomes clear.

Both titles are action RPGs in the Dark Souls series, and the suspension affects online features that depend on the servers.

Earlier server work on the series

In 2022, community users overseas reported a security issue in the PC version of DARK SOULS Ⅲ, and FromSoftware suspended the game servers for the PC versions of DARK SOULS REMASTERED, DARK SOULS Ⅱ and DARK SOULS Ⅲ while it investigated the vulnerability. On August 25, DARK SOULS Ⅲ was restored and its multiplayer functions returned, and on October 25, restoration of the PC version of DARK SOULS Ⅱ was reported.
