Rockstar Ships Grand Theft Auto 6 Code-in-Box Editions to Retailers

Physical editions of Grand Theft Auto 6, which contain a download code rather than a disc, have begun arriving at stores ahead of the November 19 launch.

Rockstar Games has begun shipping code-in-box physical editions of Grand Theft Auto 6 to retailers, with the first shipments arriving at stores ahead of the game's November 19 release, according to Polygon.

MediaMarkt stores in Germany showed the physical edition on Instagram stories. The box exterior carries the official game description, screenshots of characters Jason and Lucia and the Leonida setting, plus labels for online support and in-game purchases.

The physical edition does not include a disc. Players who pre-ordered it will receive a poster, and those who ordered the code-in-box version can preload it on Thursday.

Digital preloads for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X begin November 10 at midnight. Retailers are preparing for customers to pick up the game in stores on November 12.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is set to release on November 19, a date that has been known for months.
