Rockstar Games has shared new details about Grand Theft Auto 6, including an extensive wildlife system, through a 14-page cover story in Game Informer.
According to the report, Grand Theft Auto 6 will feature upward of 170 creatures across Leonida, among them monkeys, sharks, armadillos, bears, alligators, and manatees. More than 60 types of birds will also appear. Each animal is said to have its own distinct set of movement behaviors, and some marine animals will display iridescence and bioluminescence.
Fur in the game is fully simulated, with dirt matting, clumping, wetness, and color and coat variations supporting human-to-animal interaction. Trackable animals are divided into three tiers: Rare, Discoverable, and Legendary.
