Green Cat Games has released a demo of Leafborn, its fast-paced 3D action roguelite, according to GamingOnLinux.
The protagonist is a being made of thousands of leaves that break apart when attacking and reassemble into forms such as a saw or a tornado. The game is set in Canopy, a universe of floating islands where the player fights invading Nulls.
The Turkish indie studio cites Risk of Rain 2 and Hades as its biggest influences. Runs start from zero, while long-term upgrades unlock new forms and expand the loot pool.
The demo offers an early look at the game ahead of a full release, for which no date has been given.
