The Microsoft Store has begun listing the file size for the Xbox Series X|S version of Grand Theft Auto VI, with the Japanese store page showing 208.74 GB and the North American page listing the global version at 209.86 GB, according to gamespark.jp.
The difference of roughly 1 GB has led multiple overseas users to point out that the Japanese release appears to be a separate build from the global version.
It is not known what the roughly 1 GB gap contains. Rockstar Games has made no official statement about differences between the Japanese and global versions as of writing.

On October 28, the PS5 version of the game was reported to be 210 GB, with downloads said to take nearly two days on slow connections. On November 3, the game's official X account announced that preloading would begin on November 10.
