NCSoft Announces Guild Wars: Afterlife DLC for January 13 Launch
The paid DLC from ArenaNet and Two Weeks adds the Zothecha region and the shifting Unformed dungeon, with pre-orders open now.
NCSoft announced Guild Wars: Afterlife, a new paid DLC for the MMORPG Guild Wars, according to digitaltoday.co.kr. The DLC launches simultaneously on PC, Steam, iOS and Android on January 13, 2027.
Afterlife is developed by ArenaNet and co-developer Two Weeks. It adds a new region called Zothecha, where players fight the Nightmare and the Order of Oddran alongside the Moonless Night Knights.
The main content is a new dungeon called Unformed, whose map, monsters and bosses change on each entry. Players choose starting equipment and explore terrain including jungle, cenote and aerial ruins.
A “Skill Draft” system lets players pick new skills after each dungeon victory and combine skills from any profession. Pre-orders are open, offering a discounted price and a special costume.
Guild Wars launched in 2005 and has recorded 9 million cumulative users and over 1 billion hours played. Its Eye of the North expansion was released in 2007.
