Bandai Namco Announces Gundam Blitz Order Idle Game, Network Test for 2,500
Bandai Namco Entertainment announced Gundam Blitz Order, a free-to-play idle simulation game for smartphones, with a network test recruiting 2,500 testers.
Bandai Namco Entertainment announced Gundam Blitz Order, a new smartphone app in the Gundam series, according to inside-games.jp. The official site describes the title as one that challenges a new genre for Gundam games.
The game is an RPG-style idle simulation in which players obtain, collect and strengthen units such as mobile suits, improving their combat ability and building formations around each unit's different combat style. Development materials can be collected automatically through auto battle, and using them to strengthen a unit raises all units' levels together, so newly obtained units can be used immediately.
Gundam Blitz Order features many mobile suits, battleships and mobile armors from the Gundam series. Players freely set formations and placements taking into account each unit's abilities and traits, plus EX skills with various effects.
Planned content includes fierce battles against powerful bosses and missions escorting battleships to a destination, as well as content where players compete against other players.
A network test is planned for some regions, letting players try some functions of the official version ahead of the official service launch. The test targets iOS and Android and is recruiting 2,500 testers. Recruitment runs from 12:00 on October 15 to 11:59 on October 26, and the network test period is from 14:00 on November 18 to 13:59 on November 24.
Gundam Blitz Order is planned for distribution on smartphones as a free-to-play title with item purchases. Its release timing is undecided.
