A new trailer for the indie psychological horror game Hell Is Other People debuted during the inaugural Cozy After Dark Showcase, according to GameSpot. The game is developed by indie studio Miss Self Destruct.
Hell Is Other People is described as a psychological horror about social anxiety. It takes its name from the Jean-Paul Sartre quote about being trapped in other people's perceptions.
Its Steam description says players collect social skills instead of inventory items. The protagonist is a little girl with onyx eyes and very long hair.
The game is slated for release sometime soon. No specific date or platforms beyond Steam were given.
Earlier horror touchstones
The showcase arrives years after a wave of early 2010s horror games. Slender: The Eight Pages was played by the author in 2012, while Fran Bow and Alice: Madness Returns were Tim Burton-style horror games made in the early 2010s. Those titles are not part of the Cozy After Dark Showcase lineup.
