A fan-made Hogwarts Legacy mod called Sword of Slytherin is now available as a free download for PC on Curse Forge, according to Screen Rant. The mod turns the player's wand into the Sword of Slytherin while still allowing spells to be cast from it.
The mod was created by the user arbek, who previously made a Sword of Gryffindor mod for the same game. The Sword of Slytherin version has already passed 31,000 downloads.
Built on an earlier weapon mod
The project follows arbek's earlier work swapping the wand for another famous blade from the Harry Potter series. The Sword of Gryffindor, a goblin-made sword owned by Godric Gryffindor, is used in the books and films to destroy Horcruxes.
Hogwarts Legacy was released on February 10, 2023, developed by Avalanche Software and published by Warner Bros. Interactive. It was the best-selling game of 2023 and received a 9/10 score in a Screen Rant review.
