Fan-Made Zelda Game Glass of Fate Sets February 2027 Launch

The Glass of Fate, a free fan project built on the Godot engine, is coming to PC, Mac, iOS and Android, its creator says.

A fan-made Zelda game titled The Legend of Zelda: The Glass of Fate has been revealed by its creator, Justice 2 Free, according to screenrant.com. A reveal trailer, titled only Glass of Fate, was released alongside the announcement.

The project is planned as a free-to-use program and is built on the open-source Godot engine. It is set to launch on PC, Mac, iOS and Android, with the first part expected to arrive in February 2027 and following chapters at a later date.

The creator said the game serves as a sequel to both Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. He also stated that it will not be an N64 romhack and is not N64 compatible.

According to the developer, the animations — particularly those of Link, who appears in the trailer — are not final and are still being worked on.

Nintendo's Zelda series rarely receives direct sequels; the Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom duology is an outlier, and the company did not continue the stories of Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask.
