HORI opens pre-orders for Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen Switch 2 pads
The Wired HORIPAD TURBO controllers, priced around $34, anchor a Pokémon Pixel Art collection that also includes pouches and a 24-game card case.
HORI has opened pre-orders for two Pokémon-themed Wired HORIPAD TURBO controllers for Nintendo Switch 2, tied to Pokémon's 30th anniversary, according to screenrant.com. Both are priced at around $34.
The LeafGreen version uses green translucent plastic with a forest biome and features Pikachu, Nidoran, Chansey, the Bulbasaur evolutionary line and a Generation 3 Hoenn Pokémon Center. The FireRed version uses dark translucent plastic with red hues and a cave biome featuring Arcanine, Aerodactyl, Marowak, the Charmander evolutionary line and Moltres.
The pads are part of the Pokémon Pixel Art Nintendo Switch 2 collection. HORI is also selling a Shoulder Pouch and a Quilted Medium Pouch at $31 each, plus a 24-Game Card Case at $10 during the pre-order period.
Older remakes, new hardware
Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen, remakes of the first-generation games, were originally released in 2004 and arrived on Nintendo Switch earlier in 2026. The 30th anniversary celebrations are already underway.
The accessories follow other limited Nintendo Switch 2 products that have run into stock problems, including the Zelda 40th Anniversary hardware and Pro Controller.
