Death Stranding Prototype to Be Shown Publicly for First Time at Kojima's Anniversary Exhibition
Kojima Productions' BEYOND THE STRAND event will display the earliest Death Stranding prototype footage, Shinkawa artwork, and an OD red-door recreation.
Kojima Productions announced on October 16 the exhibition contents for its 10th anniversary event, KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS 10th ANNIVERSARY EXHIBITION BEYOND THE STRAND, according to gamespark.jp. The show will include the first public display of the earliest prototype footage of the original Death Stranding, made by a team of 5-6 people before a production engine existed.
The exhibition also features original design artwork by art director Yoji Shinkawa, documents bearing handwritten corrections by Hideo Kojima, and props used in trailer production for the original Death Stranding.
A Death Stranding 2: On the Beach section will present an early-stage ending proposal and location scouting footage from various countries. The OD section recreates the red door from the OD - KNOCK teaser, letting visitors experience a card falling from the gap when the door is knocked.
A 360-degree video installation of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will be set up in the center of the venue, while a life-size 10th Anniversary Ludens greets visitors at the entrance.
