League of Legends Classic Patch 5 Adds Five Reworked Champions
Riot Games' League of Legends Classic update brings Aatrox, Irelia, Karma, Quinn, and Caitlyn with kits redesigned from their modern counterparts.
Riot Games has released patch 5 for League of Legends Classic, adding five champions to the mode: Aatrox, Irelia, Karma, Quinn, and Caitlyn. All five arrive with significant reworks compared to their modern League of Legends versions, according to PCGamesN.
Game designer David 'Phreak' Turley said he is now in charge of champion release quality for League of Legends Classic. He outlined several of the changes himself.
Aatrox's reworked kit includes a Blood Well passive that self-damages his abilities and provides a revival effect. Phreak called Karma's Spirit Bond one of the worst-designed spells Riot ever released, and said he removed the randomness from Quinn's Harrier cooldown in this version.
Older champions, new kits
Aatrox first arrived in League of Legends back in the day, and Karma's ultimate, Mantra, is the one piece of her kit that still survives today. The patch reworks both champions for the Classic roster.
