Lufia SNES Classics Return in The Sinistrals Saga
Clear River Games is bundling Lufia & the Fortress of Doom and Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals for PC, PS5, Switch, and Switch 2 in 2027.
Clear River Games has announced The Sinistrals Saga, a collection pairing the two original Lufia titles: Lufia & the Fortress of Doom and Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals. The package is planned for PC, PS5, Switch, and Switch 2.
The release is set for 2027, with no specific window announced. Both games will keep their original Super Nintendo pixel-art look while adding enhanced gameplay, according to Screen Rant.
Lufia & the Fortress of Doom launched on the SNES in 1993 and was an early adopter of New Game Plus. Its follow-up, Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals, is a prequel known for monster-raising and puzzle-focused dungeons.
Masahide Miyata, a game designer on the original Lufia series, is attached to the project. The script has been rewritten in kanji for this release, as the SNES version was mainly written in hiragana.
