Koyurugi Koubou's Makai Toshi CHI-BA Hits Steam November 2 at 600 Yen

The indie RPG's Steam version adds English localization, three new areas, an extra dungeon, equipment accessories and autosave to the April 2026 BOOTH PC release.

Koyurugi Koubou announced on October 14, 2026 that the Steam version of its regional-culture archive RPG Makai Toshi CHI-BA will be released on November 2, 2026, priced at 600 yen, according to gamebiz.jp.

The Steam edition is a complete version built on the BOOTH PC version released in April 2026. It adds English localization, three new areas named Funabashi, Mobara and Kashiwa, an extra dungeon, additional equipment accessories and an autosave feature.

Ahead of launch, the game will be shown and playable at Tokyo Game Dungeon 14, held on October 31, 2026, at booth 3P-10. The first 200 visitors who add the game to their Steam wishlist at the venue will receive an original sticker.

The title is set in the fictional city of Ichikawa and is described as a regional-culture archive RPG. Its development spanned 10 years of planning and was handled by a single creator, according to the announcement. The smartphone version (free on Android, 200 yen on iPhone) and the 600-yen BOOTH version are already available.

Since its release in March 2026, the smartphone version has reached a peak of 3rd place in the App Store's paid RPG ranking and passed a cumulative 8,600 downloads. The official X account recorded 2.8 million impressions over six months.
