McDonald's confirms Pokémon Happy Meal with Pikachu box for November 2026
The promotion launches in the US, Australia, Canada, France, New Zealand, Spain and Fiji in November 2026, with most other regions following in December.
McDonald's has officially confirmed a Pokémon Happy Meal promotion for 2026, with the worldwide rollout beginning in November 2026, according to Polygon. The meal is served in a yellow box shaped like Pikachu's head.
Each box contains two random Pokémon cards. The cards are reprints featuring Pokémon including Jirachi, Snorlax, Eevee and Pikachu, with card art by artists including Kodama, Miki Kudo and DOM.
The meal also includes plastic toys shaped like mini Happy Meal boxes based on Squirtle, Charmander and Bulbasaur.
Rollout schedule
The United States, Australia, Canada, Fiji, France, New Zealand and Spain get the promotion starting in November 2026. Most remaining regions start in December 2026, while Ireland and the U.K. begin in February 2027.
McDonald's has partnered with Pokémon since 2011. In past campaigns the chain struggled to keep up with demand, and in Japan some restaurants called the police on customers. Some customers previously ordered large quantities of Happy Meals just for the prizes and threw the food away; McDonald's now allows customers to buy the toy separately from the Happy Meal.
